Communication and Organizations: Communication in Organizations in the Contemporary Context



In the contemporary world, organizations are complicated due to diversity. This intricate situation arises because of terrorism, climate change, globalization, etc. These issues have affected and altered people’s thoughts as well as their behavior which effecting the way they communicate to each other. Thus, people in an organization have to solve these intricate situations to accomplish their goal.

Often members in an organization are consciously or unconsciously pulled to certain directions to approach their goal. Organization environments become more complex, diverse and turbulent and their group members are purposely moving in various directions to accomplish their task. For example, our group member was assigned to accomplish a task in building the highest tower. To be honest, this task given was indeed complicated and unusual yet it simultaneously it was fun. Consciously or unconsciously each member in this group came up with unusual idea and judgment, due to the situation which had affected us to behaving so. For example, we tried to use an unusual tactic with an expectation that it would eventually help us to accomplish our task in utilizing the marshmallow as a connecting joint instead of the tape and string.

Overall, this topic refers to understanding the complexity in modern society and solving the complicated issues with complicated thought.
